He Is Risen Finished!

Evening All!

I finished the stitch He is Risen!  I used a linen that I coffee stained myself.  I stitched it to a lovely piece of grey/blue matka silk.  I mounted it to a board and plan to frame it.

Now... back to Serenity Harbor.  I've changed my mind.  I'm going to stitch it on a lovely creamy colored piece of 26 ct linen 1/1.

Almost done...

I should be done tonight.  Thinking on how to finish this stitch.  I'm going to see what I have for frames... I'm thinking stitching to a piece of wool or homespun and then framing it...

He Is Risen ~ Final color choice

Morning All...

Funny thing how we think we will like one thing and then decide... mmmm.... no.  I stitched 3 other colors before landing on this one.
Can't wait to finish... it should go quickly now.
It's cold here.  -4 this morning.  A beautiful "crisp" day...

Progress and starts

Morning all!
Hope your day is lovely.
I wanted to share a new start.

He Is Risen designed by Jenny Hoffman Country Rustic Primitives

I'm loving this stitch.

Safe Harbor Sampler progress  The linen is Zweigart Belfast 32ct Castleview
It's hard to see in picture but it has a light blue/tan mottle to it.

And lastly... Sunflower Bell Pull by Drawn Threads.

choosing colors

So, I joined the 12 month Serenity Harbor Sampler. I love Donna's designs at By the Bay Needleart
Last night Donna emailed me the beginning instructions!  I immediately went down stairs and started choosing colors and my fabric.  I just so happened to have the perfect size of linen... which considering mine will be 34-35" tall, was pretty outstanding!
Happy Stitching!

Give Away

Quick post... Deena has a give away on her blog.... Seasons Of My Mind
check it out!

It's been a long time...

Oh, my... it's been so very long since I've typed... I don't know if any of you will still be there.  So much has happened since 2012!
My m-i-l and I went to Israel!

Both my boys have graduated high school.
Brandon enlisted in the Montana Air National Guard

and got married!

I have 2 new grandpuppies.

I went to work with my husband part time and part time at Deer Country Quilts.  Then last June I went full time with my husband and stopped working on a schedule at the quilt store.  In July my husband bought his business from corporate offices and now we are full time business owners.  I work in Missoula, which is 57 miles from my house! Talk about a change in lifestyle!

One thing I have found out about myself though... I really like quilting... but when you get right down to it... I LOVE TO STITCH!!! I mean... it's in my heart.  So, here I am jumping into stitching with all my heart again.  I've picked up and finished some of my projects...

and by my nature I've started many more!!! lol... what can I say?

I just contacted Donna at By the Bay Needleart and signed up to do her Serenity Harbor Sampler.
Also, I have fallen in love with Renato Parolin's designes!!! They are so beautiful!

So... there's some of what's been happening here...
Happy Stitching!
